On Thursday 6 May 2021, electors from Cambridgeshire & Peterborough will be eligible to vote in the election of a Mayor for the Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Combined Authority.
The person elected as Mayor, along with the Combined Authority for Cambridgeshire & Peterborough will be responsible for many aspects of political life in Cambridgeshire & Peterborough, from transport and housing to Police and Fire services.
To vote on 6 May, you need to make sure you are registered to vote by 19 April 2021. In order to register you must:
- live in Cambridgeshire or Peterborough
- be 18 or over on 6 May 2021
- be a British, European Union or Commonwealth citizen who does not require leave to remain in the UK.
British citizens living overseas are not eligible to vote in this election.
You can either vote in person, by post or by proxy (appointing someone else to vote on your behalf). Polling stations will be open between 7am – 10pm on 6 May 2021.
